Judges’ Corner – Ellee

Share

Week 7th June:

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Community Auditions Judge’s Blog- I’m Ellee and honored to have a forum with which to chat with all our viewers!

My tip for the week:

DON’T STOP LEARNING!

My mentor always quotes:

Hardwork beats talent when talent refuses to work hard.

It doesn’t get more truthful than that and it applies to most industries/career choices. The music industry is no exception to that rule because it’s highly competitive and fame is short lived.

One of my favorite artists and musicians is, Beyonce. Not because she’s the biggest star in the world but because her technique is noteworthy.  She has mastered her breathing, her pitch is always immaculate and she has expanded her range- vastly. A great vocalist is always improving so keep practicing and keep breathing!

With love,

Ellee

Episode #16 – Hugs For Heroes ft. Ayla Brown

Ayla Brown
Hometown: Wrentham, MA

”As long as troops are in Iraq and Afghanistan, our simple goal remains to help as many troops as possible feel appreciation from home in the form of notes and small items that can make the hardships they endure just a little easier to bear.” – from the Hugs For Heroes website.

This week we have a special episode of Community Auditions supporting Hugs For Heroes (www.hugsforheroes.com).  Founded in July of 2004 to show support to U.S. troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, Hugs For Heroes has donated nearly seven tons of goods to units of all branches of the military spread throughout the Middle East.

Our favorite New England Idol, the lovely Miss Ayla Brown, performed on our show to help raise awareness for this wonderful cause. Ayla is an amazing woman and her heart is as big as the ocean that separates those soldiers from their homes back here in the States. Having worked with Hugs For Heroes before, Ayla was thrilled to work with them again, on Community Auditions, and show people all over New England how they can support their own Hometown Heroes.

Community Auditions wants to help Ayla Brown and Hugs For Heroes spread the message of love and support across the Northeast. If you have a the chance, please go to www.hugsforheroes.com and see if you can help.

The 2010 Season Begins!

Share

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the start of the 2010 season of Community Auditions: Star of the Day!

Now for those of you counting this is our 4th season back, and 42nd season overall! Running in the greater Boston area, and through all of New England, we are back to show you the best talent from Connecticut to Maine, from Rhode Island to New Hamspshire, and everywhere in-between.

The 2009 season featured an array of talent. We brought you rock, rap, pop, folk, country, broadway, and opera. Yes, we brought you opera. In the end twelve Finalists were chosen, and when the dust settled we had one Grand Champion.

Now here we are at the start of the 2010 season, ready to do it all again. This year we have more talent, more thrills, and more excitement than ever before.

The fun begins this weekend, March 5th, as we kick off a new season. Come watch, and be sure to vote. At the end of the year we’ll see who will be the next Champion. Let’s rock!
