Ellee

Though Ellee now calls the “Big Apple” home, she is truly global. Born in Italy, She moved to Canada when she was young, where she started an all girl band. Taking time off from music to attend the University of Calgary for a degree in economics, she returned to the limelight in 2000 as a finalist in “Popstars”, Canada’s version of “American Idol“. Her involvement in it pushed her to create a 12 track demo which she co-produced, wrote, and arranged. In 2003, a 6 month visit to her ancestral home of Eritrea, culminated in headlining a music festival that raised funds for orphanages there. Moving back across “the pond” to London in 2004, Ellee recorded more material and performed in all the “hot spots”. Her move to New York made it possible for Community Auditions to seek out Ellee to be a judge for the show from its inception in 2007. Tapping into her wealth of experiences, Elllee is able to give insightful critiques.
